Initiate Phase Two
Dun DUN DUUUNNNNN!!!!!!
And thus concludes the Cutlery mini-comic, but as you can see it doesn't end the story!!
A little background first, before we get into the fun future. I work in a coffee shop. Cutlery was created basically on a whim one day. Actually, his city was what was created first, Scone City. At the end of the day we were throwing out the baked goods we have, and grabbed a scone. I don't remember how it came about, but the next thing I knew I was talking about scone city and the little pastry items that lived there. Then Cutlery came to mind. He was the city's greatest hero!
After that night, the next few days I started developing this idea for Cutlery in my head. Who he was. Why he did what he did. And what kind of gadgets he used. The more I thought about it the more funny it became and then I doodle those first three pages of this mini-comic. The first three pages of this mini-comic where the first drawn images of Cutlery.
After that it was like a snowball. Pizza Peter came to mind easy, then came Sue Cheff and of course I had to have a commissioner rip-off, haha. Bu I knew Pizza Peter wasn't the end, he was the beginning. I saw Pizza Peter as a low level villain, kind of like Spider-Man's C-level villains. Take Hydro-man for instance. Or Batman's low level baddies. Mad Hatter comes to mind. But I knew there was a baddie in the Cutlery universe that was going to put our hero to the test. That when I came up with The Baker.
Fast forward to now, The Baker has made his first appearance. There's a lot in store for Cutlery coming up in the next story arc. The Baker is plotting his course to rule Scone City. I hope you stay along for the ride. The next story arc is called "Baker's Dozen" and is going to reveal even more from the Cutlery world. More villains will be revealed and we'll come across some of Cutlery's allies, one of which is called The Spork. Yep, that's right. You thought sporks were just those little hybrid thingies of a spoon and fork mixed? Well so did everyone else. No one ever took The Spork seriously, until he showed them why they should!
Hahaha, oh man, I love writing and drawing this stuff. It's so much fun. I hope everyone enjoys it and has a good time with it. I've always said, it's like The Tick or Mystery Men(the movie). I you liked that stuff, you're gonna love this. It's just great fun!
Okay, so now for the next coming weeks. I'm going to be updating a few times a week with pictures of upcoming characters who will be seen in Cutlery: Baker's Dozen. some of them are more villains and others are friends of Cutlery. Then, on July 6th, new pages of Cutlery roll out IN COLOR!!
I hope you stay along for the fun ride!
